Murder Rates Decreasing In Chicago

It's nice to see Chicago is changing day by day for the better..
Here's a look at some the changes occurring in 2013 thus far:
-Police say 36 fewer murders were reported in March 2013 than in March 2012.
-February's murder rate was the lowest in more than 50 years.
-For the first three months of 2013 together, the murder rate is down 42 percent with 50 fewer murders reported than for the same period last year.
-In the past year, Chicago has attracted major national attention for our high murder rate and widespread violence.

"We have the ability to stop the violence in Chicago. We've seen the numbers come down. Now, we've got to create this to become the norm of Chicago, rather than exception," said Fr. Michael Pfleger.
